As an example, the newspaper said that in the year 2013, in the Central African Republic, a massacre took place in which hundreds of civilians were killed, but the surprise is that even in the neighboring regions, the population did not know about it, because the media was purged of its news, and the survivors did not dare to speak about it.

And the newspaper added that so far the press is unable to cover many events in the world, and while the media is preoccupied with the Ukrainian war, the deaths in the conflict in the Central African Republic have not been counted, even the war in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the bloodiest in the world since World War II, It did not appear on...

For his part, the leader of the "Taliban" movement, Abdul Hamid Khorasani, stated in a video speech: "Do not test our strength. You are behind the scenes with the Westerners. We are true Muslims. If the sheikhs allow us, we will seize Tehran."

About ISR WEEKLY

We cull through moree than 340 media outlets to identify stories about the most consequential events, so you don't have to.

Started after the break of the 2011 protest movements, popularized as the Arab Spring that turned into proxy-wars for geopolitical purposes, as part of a research project, Islamic Societies Review became a trusted source of news and analyses covering key geopolitical events around the world.

A decade after it launch, Islamic Societies Review continue to maintain the original essays site, and spun off the section (ISR Weekly) on the news stories and brief analysis-which is still edited by some of the same people who were part of the original team of research students and their mentor.

With no reporters on the ground, the editorial team monitors social media platforms and mainstream media to document some of the most significant events often ignored or buried deep in the inside pages of newspapers.

Today, ISR editors manually–not through algorithms and code/scripts–pick through 347 different news sources to curate the daily digest; then, out of the daily digests, the editors selects the top stories, the most consequential stories of the week, and, top news stories are also streamed daily on the website, ISR Weekly for free.
