On suspicion of ties to Russian intelligence, Germany dismisses the head of cybersecurity

Tuesday, October 18, 2022   No comments

The German Interior Ministry has dismissed the head of the Federal Office for Information Technology Security (BSI), Arne Schönbaum, over reports of possible ties to Russian intelligence.

A spokesman for the German Interior Ministry stated that Interior Minister Nancy Wieser decided to prevent Schönbaum from carrying out his official duties as head of the "BSI" office with immediate effect, noting that the background to the decision is in particular the accusations announced by the media and widely discussed.

He added that these accusations "permanently damaged the necessary confidence on the part of public opinion in the impartiality and integrity of the office's leadership as head of the most important German cybersecurity service," noting that this matter applies more in light of the current crisis situation due to the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The spokesperson stated that the accusations raised affected the necessary trust relationship on the part of the Minister with the leadership of the office.

Schönbaum has been in a critical situation since the media revealed his relationship with a cybersecurity advisory association suspected of having had contact with Russian intelligence services.

Schönbaum, 53, co-founded and managed the "Cyber Security Council-Germany" advisory a decade ago, which includes experts from public institutions and the private sector, and German media said that among its members was "a company founded by a former Russian intelligence agent."

The Home Office said the study of these allegations was continuing, and added that "pending the conclusion of this study, the presumption of innocence naturally applies to the person of Mr. Schönbaum."

The German government announced more than a week ago that it was thoroughly investigating the media reports.

The dismissal comes at a time when Germany has been placed on alert against possible acts of sabotage by Moscow after the leakage in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines to transport Russian gas to Europe, and this country was subjected to widespread sabotage of railways on the eighth of October, where it occurred Some expressed the hypothesis that Russia was behind the operation in the context of the war on Ukraine.

For the first time, Russia shows a video of its "Lancet" suicide march attacks in Ukraine

Russian Drones
Russian Drones
Increased use of drones by Russian forces operating in Ukraine led to much speculation about Russia's acquisition of Iranian drones. Now, and for the first time, the Russian Ministry of Defense released footage documenting its use of Russia's own superpowered Lancet suicide attack on Ukrainian fighters.

The footage shows drones that pounce on a number of targets on the ground before detonating them.

The Russian statement that accompanied the footage of the drone attacks:

Destruction of armored vehicles and weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with high-precision strike UAV systems.

UAV crews of the Airborne Forces in the Nikolaev-Kryvyi Rih direction attacked the positions of self-propelled artillery howitzers, armored personnel carriers manufactured by NATO countries, tanks and other weapons used by the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As a result of the use of UAVs, several tanks, self-propelled artillery mounts, wheeled vehicles, including those supplied by NATO countries, were destroyed.

Previously, Russian media showed scenes of the use of a copy of the Russian "Lancet", which was developed by the Zala-Aero company, a subsidiary of the Russian "Kalashnikov" company, against opposition factions in Syria.

An official in the Ukrainian President's office said that drones bombed - yesterday, Thursday - vital infrastructure facilities in the Kyiv region, as part of the intensive bombing campaign launched by Russia on Monday in response to the bombing of the Crimean Bridge.

Kirillo Tymoshenko, Deputy Director of the Ukrainian President's Office - stated - in a post via Telegram - that these facilities were targeted by attacks from "kamikaze" drones, a name given to suicide bomber aircraft, originally due to the unit of suicide pilots in the Japanese Air Force during World War II.

The statement by Yury Ushakov, assistant to the Russian president, who denied that President Vladimir Putin had discussed with the Iranian leadership the issue of delivering Iranian drones to Moscow, did not end the controversy in this regard, and the media is still discussing this file.

Iranian Made Drones-underground facility, Iran
Irania Drones
The story began when the United States, through its Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ned Price, announced its willingness to impose new sanctions on Iran if it agreed to provide Russia with drones.
Drones have proven effective in modern conflicts. Their use in the zone of the NWO is an urgent need.

Russian leaders seem aware of the fact that Russia has yet to establish a large-scale production of various types of UAVs. At the Special Technology Center LLC enterprise in St. Petersburg, during a visit by Medvedev, drones were shown in production line were technicians conducted a control check of the supply of Orlan drones under the state defense order with the participation of federal executive authorities and law enforcement agencies.

Erdoğan, Putin discuss bilateral ties, Ukraine war

Friday, October 07, 2022   No comments
Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, by phone, on Friday, bilateral relations between the two countries and the current situation in Ukraine.
A statement issued by the Turkish president's office said, "During the call, the two sides discussed ways to develop Turkish-Russian relations, as well as the situation in Ukraine."
He added, "President Erdogan stressed, during the talks, that Turkey is ready to contribute and do everything in its power to reach a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian crisis, to the satisfaction of all parties."

Erdogan said he was counting on meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin in the next three or four days, adding: "Today is Mr. Putin's birthday. I wanted to congratulate him, and he, in turn, thanked us for our mediation in the Ukraine crisis."
He continued, "It would be good if we had a detailed meeting in 3 or 4 days, if Mr. Putin could come to the Asian talks. Next week the President of Kazakhstan will hold summits to discuss confidence-building measures in Asia, and then we will be able to have bilateral talks, as well as talks." On Russia and Ukraine.

However, in a statement issued by the Communications Directorate informed that the two leaders spoke by phone on Oct. 7, a day after President Erdoğan attended the European Political Community in Prague where he held meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron, Armenian President Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
“The call addressed matters that would enhance Türkiye-Russia relations as well as the latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine war,” the statement informed. It also stressed that President Erdoğan “reiterated that they stood ready to do their part for the peaceful resolution of the Ukraine issue in a way that would benefit everyone.”

Türkiye has long been in an effort to convene Russian President Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky together for ending the armed conflict that started in February by Moscow. It also mediated for the resumption of the Ukrainian export of grain to the world markets to avoid a major global food crisis.

At a press conference he held following the Prague summit, President Erdoğan noted that he is probably the only leader in the world who can easily talk with both Putin and Zelensky. He underscored the importance Ankara attaches to the exchange of war prisoners between the two countries as well as to the ongoing efforts as regards the shipment of fertilizers and grains, Erdoğan stressed that it would be useful if Russia would start exporting its fertilizers to the world via Türkiye.
On July 22, Turkey hosted a meeting to sign multilateral agreements, which included lifting restrictions on the export of Russian grain and food products, and allowing the export of Ukrainian grain.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed that "Russia is not a country that can be underestimated", and considered that Western countries are pursuing a wrong policy regarding Ukraine, because it is based on provocations, stressing that "Turkey adheres to a balanced policy towards Ukraine."

Dmitry Medvedev: Western govs have realized that their sanctions are self-mutilation... A typical crossbow in your own **s

Thursday, October 06, 2022   No comments

Russian leaders react to recent round of Western sanctions; Dmitry Medvedev: Western govs have realized that their sanctions are self-mutilation... A typical crossbow in your own **s

 Medvedev's full statement:

"Infernal Sanctions" went to the eighth round. As you know, there are nine circles in hell. So there are still reserves.

Let our enemies rage on. After all, it has long been clear that winding these circles without much harm to the “appointed sinner” is an empty business. And expensive.

What did this idiotic idea of former partners result in today?

For Russia. From the very beginning of the special military operation, the West began consistently firing at our country from a multi-barreled sanctions MLRS. Our stupid opponents fail to understand a simple thing: Russia has long lived in conditions of restrictions and has learned well to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances. Our economy demonstrates a very decent vitality. Inflation is gradually slowing down, dropping from a peak of 17.8% in April to 13.7% in September. There is every reason to believe that by the end of the year it will not exceed 12%. Greater stability is shown by GDP, which by the end of the year will decline much less than expected.

In general, the West once again failed to "tear to shreds" our economy. The main thing is that Russia has not only the necessary margin of safety, but also all the opportunities for further development.

For the West. At first, our enemies desperately pounded their chests. They convinced their citizens and the whole world that they could easily do without Russian oil, gas, fertilizers, medicines and grain. Without buyers for their burgers, clothes, cosmetics, cars and Internet services. Now they have realized that their sanctions are self-mutilation. A typical crossbow in your own **s. Gasoline, groceries, and utilities are rising sharply in price. People out of desperation go to rallies. Politicians shrug helplessly. Beautiful words are repeated - it seems like "you have to pay for democracy." Without answering, however, the question of why the hell such a "democracy" is needed.

According to Eurostat, the eurozone is experiencing record inflation over the past decades - more than 9%. However, in some EU countries the situation is simply catastrophic. Among them are the most frostbitten enemies of Russia. They are fully reaping the fruits of their vomiting hatred of our country. In Estonia, inflation increased by 22.2% in annual terms, in Lithuania - by 21.1%, in Latvia - by 20.8%, in the Czech Republic - by 17.3%. And these two-digit anti-records are far from the limit. Ahead is a cold winter without Russian gas. And this despite the fact that the marginal price for our blue fuel has not yet been introduced. It seems that now they can be left without gas forever. In parallel, Europe's stupid bureaucrats are begging their citizens to save energy. And in order to better stimulate them, they are ready to shift the growing costs to users and even put them in jail, as in the once prosperous Switzerland.

For the whole world. The result is sad. With its manic sanctions, the West has achieved only one thing - the rapid destruction of the entire architecture of world trade in the form in which it has developed at a record pace for the past half century. Private property is no longer sacred, trade contracts are not binding, the currency of settlement is not a means of payment. Global supply chains are undermined. Western analysts expect a slowdown in the economic growth of all developed countries. In the next 12 months, Europe is facing a recession. At the same time, it should be noted that for the main instigator of the hybrid war against Russia - the United States - the results will be less catastrophic. But even there they are well aware of the grave consequences the actions of their decrepit president lead to.

There are no illusions. The West intends to go against Russia to the end. To introduce ever new senseless restrictions against it, hoping, like in recent years, to undermine the Russian economy as much as possible. Scattering of fragments from such indiscriminate use of sanctions weapons - throughout all countries of the world and to innocent people. Meanwhile, without normal international trade, chaos and poverty will be felt in various parts of the world. However, it is useless to appeal to the prudence of our enemies in the West. And you don't need to. Enemies must be made to beg for mercy in a lost economic battle. And complete it with their complete and unconditional surrender.

“OPEC +” agrees to reduce oil production by an average of two million barrels per day

Thursday, October 06, 2022   No comments

Reuters quoted sources in Vienna as confirming that the "OPEC +" group agreed today to reduce oil production by two million barrels per day.

The Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee of the Global Oil Exporters Alliance "OPEC +", which includes ministers of prominent producing countries, agreed to reduce crude production by two million barrels per day in response to the decline in prices.

This came according to what was quoted by "Reuters" agency, quoting 3 sources familiar with the events, and as expected by media reports earlier, and in a move believed to destroy the efforts of the United States to increase supplies and reduce prices.

A disaster for the United States and will cause crises

On Tuesday, CNN reported, quoting a White House document, that "the United States is concerned that a possible decision by "OPEC" to reduce oil production may cause major crises for the country, and can be considered a hostile act."

And a report by the American network stated that the White House “warns that the “OPEC +” meeting may cause great damage to the United States, and that the decision to reduce oil production will be a “complete disaster” for the country.

The United States, in an attempt to persuade its OPEC allies, is proposing to buy back up to 200 million barrels of oil from its OPEC partners, which will be used to refill the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which President Joe Biden uses to help lower oil prices.

This is while another US official stated, according to "CNN", that the White House "is in a state of panic and panic."

"We have made clear that energy supplies must meet demand to support economic growth and lower prices for consumers around the world, and we will continue to talk to our partners about that," National Security Council spokeswoman Adrian Watson said in a statement.

A few days ago, the Wall Street Journal reported, quoting participants in the upcoming “OPEC +” meeting, that the coalition countries were “considering reducing oil production by more than one million barrels per day.”

Action to Prevent fluctuations

Saudi Arabia and other members of OPEC Plus, which includes OPEC countries and non-OPEC producers including Russia, say they are seeking to prevent volatility and not target a specific oil price.

Brent crude, the global benchmark, rose today, Wednesday, towards $93 a barrel, after rising yesterday.

The West accuses Russia of using energy as a weapon, and of creating a crisis in Europe that may force it to ration gas and electricity this winter.

In contrast, Moscow accuses the West of using the dollar and financial systems - such as Swift - as a weapon in response to Russia sending troops to Ukraine last February.

Reactions

US President Joe Biden expressed his disappointment over the decision of the OPEC Plus alliance to reduce oil production, and stressed that his administration would seek to reduce the alliance's control over energy prices, according to a statement issued by the White House.

The statement described the OPEC Plus decision as "short-sighted", and said that the decision - which is the largest reduction in oil production since the Covid-19 pandemic - will harm countries that are "already reeling" under the weight of high oil prices in light of a global economy that in turn suffers from the "negative impact". Russia's attack on Ukraine, according to the statement.

The White House considered that the "wrong" decision was in Russia's own interest, and said, "It is clear that OPEC Plus is allied with Russia."

He added that "in light of today's decision, the Biden administration will consult with Congress on additional tools and mechanisms to reduce the control of the coalition of oil-producing countries on energy prices."

On the other hand, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak described the decision taken by the OPEC Plus alliance during its meeting in Vienna today, Wednesday, as "unprecedented", and attributed it to the need to achieve balance in the oil market.

Novak warned - in statements he made to state television - that the trend to impose a ceiling on the price of Russian oil - a step proposed by the European Union as part of new planned sanctions on Moscow - will have a detrimental effect on global markets.

Novak stressed that Russian companies will not send oil supplies to countries that adopt this ceiling.

On Thursday, the US administration seem to escalate its reaction to this event. The White House hinted that it would “re-evaluate the issue of Saudi Arabia’s trade preference with regard to arms sales and defense support,” following the decision of the “OPEC +” group to reduce the collective production limit.

The President of the US National Economic Council, Brian Dees, indicated today, Thursday, that "the administration of President Joe Biden is in the process of consulting with Congress on the issue of Saudi Arabia's commercial preference for arms sales and defense support."
In response to a question about whether Saudi Arabia deserves to obtain weapons and US defense support in light of the decision of the “OPEC +” group, Deiss said: “We will conduct an assessment and consult closely with Congress on a number of issues related to this matter.”
The member countries of the “OPEC +” alliance agreed, yesterday, Wednesday, to reduce the collective production limit by two million barrels per day, in what is considered the largest supply curb since the 2020 agreement, in the midst of the historic price collapse due to the Corona pandemic.
Following the producers' decision, US President Joe Biden expressed his disappointment with the "OPEC +" agreement, stressing the importance of global energy supplies in light of the war in Ukraine.
White House spokeswoman Karen Jean-Pierre said that the “OPEC +” decision to reduce oil production, which is likely to raise prices in Western countries, “shows that the alliance is biased towards Russia.”
And the American network “CNN” reported, earlier, quoting a document of the White House, that “the United States is concerned that a possible decision by “OPEC” to reduce oil production may cause major crises for the country, and it can be considered a “hostile act.”
And a report by the American network stated that the White House “warns that the “OPEC +” meeting may cause great damage to the United States, and that the decision to reduce oil production will be a “complete disaster” for the country.

In turn, the Saudi Energy Minister, Abdulaziz bin Salman, confirmed that the decision of the “OPEC +” group to reduce oil production by two million barrels per day “is not an aggressive move and does not aim to harm anyone.”
As for Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, he announced that the decision of the “OPEC +” alliance to reduce oil production “is an unprecedented decision,” noting that the reason for taking such a decision “is the need to balance the market before winter.”

US intelligence: parties within the government of Ukraine are behind the assassination of Daria Dugin

Thursday, October 06, 2022   No comments

The New York Times reported that US intelligence agencies said that the Ukrainian government authorized the car bomb attack near Moscow in August, which killed Daria Dugin, the daughter of the Russian philosopher and thinker Alexander Dugin.

The newspaper quoted officials as saying that "the United States did not participate in the attack, whether by providing intelligence or other assistance."

They also added that they "were not aware of the operation ahead of time, and would have opposed the killing if they had been consulted," as they put it.

"We are frustrated by Ukraine's lack of transparency about its military and secret plans, especially on Russian soil," they said.

According to the newspaper, US officials warned Ukrainian officials against the assassination.

An accurate assessment of Ukrainian complicity, which has not previously been reported, was shared within the US government last week.

The newspaper pointed out that "the United States is concerned that such attacks - despite their high symbolic value - have little direct impact on the battlefield and could provoke Moscow to carry out its own strikes against senior Ukrainian officials."

It is worth noting that on August 22, the Russian Federal Security Service announced, in a statement, that "as a result of a set of urgent operational search procedures, the service has uncovered the details of the case of the murder of Russian journalist Daria Dugin, born in 1992."

From the special operation to the partial mobilization... What is the significance of Putin's latest decision?

Wednesday, September 21, 2022   No comments

Today, Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree declaring partial mobilization in the Russian Federation.

Partial mobilization is based on the implementation of the recruitment of citizens of the Russian Federation who have previous military experience, or who have undergone military courses in the army, and have a certain level of training, to participate in the fighting in Ukraine, without asking the general public. This is what distinguishes it from the general mobilization that affects all segments of society between the ages of 18 and 50.

Military service contracts concluded by military personnel in this case are based on a specific material allowance, and they are valid until the end of the partial mobilization period.

In light of this decision, senior officials in Russia, according to the official document of the declaration, must ensure conscription through partial mobilization within the time limits set by the Ministry of Defense. In the event that there are not a number of people wishing to join, the state takes a decision to compel any person who has military experience, or who has completed a specific course, to join the military.

Putin's declaration of bold mobilization in Russia means that the Russian leadership has taken a decision to move from the stage of a "special operation" to declaring "protecting Russia's sovereignty" in the face of the West.

A "special operation" is an operation based on a specific category of the army, which carries out specific and clear military action. In the case of the Russian military operation, the goal was only to "eliminate Nazism in Ukraine". Now the battle has entered the stage of the "war on Ukraine", which is a comprehensive battle related to the sovereignty of Russia itself, and not only the threat from Ukraine, and groups of the people, not the army alone, and the various categories of the army, not specific teams or groups of it, will fight together over the A wide geography, and within a country or group of other countries.

In the war, the battle will refrain from targeting only specific areas, as happened in the "special operation", and the war will develop into a broader field that may include, according to expectations, targeting Crimea, infrastructure, and decision centers in Kyiv. If Kherson, Zaporizhia and the Donbass are included, the battles in them will become battles within what is considered "Russian territory".

According to Putin, Russia is ready to use "all means" to protect its territory, including Moscow's willingness to use weapons of mass destruction if it is forced to make such a decision.

The announcement of the decision, today, reflects Russia's quest to achieve specific goals before the start of the winter season, on the one hand, and on the other hand, the end of the last phase and the start of a new phase of the conflict in Ukraine. Undoubtedly, it will carry an escalation against the West, which Putin called in his speech today the "enemy" that will be "fighting to protect Russia."

The Russian President said during a televised speech on Wednesday that his country "will support the decision that the residents of Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson will take on their future," referring to the referendum's support for the accession of these regions to the Russian Federation.

In a speech on the Russian military operation in Ukraine today, Wednesday, Putin added that there are "anti-Russian plans in Ukraine, as they turned the Ukrainian people against Russia," explaining that the Ukrainian army planned "to launch operations against Donbass and launch an attack on Crimea, and for this we launched Operation in Donbass.

The Russian president considered that "those who fight in the Donbass are professional heroes and volunteers who defend Russia and Donbass," stressing that the Russian forces "liberated the largest part of the lands of Kherson and Zaporozhye, according to the established plan."

The Russian president indicated that "Kyiv has obtained an order to undermine the proposals for a peaceful solution," explaining that "Washington, Germany and others give orders to Kiev against Russia."

He continued, "The West has crossed all lines in its hostile policy against Russia, and we constantly hear threats against our country and people."

Putin addressed the situation in the areas controlled by the Russian army, and said that "the citizens of the liberated areas do not want to be under Nazi rule," adding: "We cannot abandon the people of the land. That is why the parliament in Donbass took a decision in a referendum for self-determination and accession." to Russia".

He considered that "the threat to the Zaporozhye plant is a nuclear threat... Russia has a nuclear weapon, and we will use all means to protect Russia's territory."

The Russian President stressed that anyone who threatens his country's territory and the unity of his country "will be confronted by Russia."

...

Meanwhile, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that his country "is at war, not only with Ukraine, but also with the collective West."

"Ukraine is increasingly using Western weapons to strike civilians," Shoigu added, noting that "Kyiv has already lost half of its army," and that "its losses exceed one hundred thousand," in addition to the killing of "more than 2,000 mercenaries."

And he considered that "the West has crossed all limits in its policy of hostility to Russia." Also, the Russian Defense Minister revealed that "300,000 people from the reserves were called up when partial mobilization."

Yesterday, Tuesday, the President of the Lugansk People's Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, signed a law "on the conduct of a referendum on the accession of the Lugansk People's Republic to the Russian Federation."

Last Monday, the Public Chamber of the Lugansk People's Republic submitted a request to President Leonid Pasechnik and the People's Assembly, to immediately organize a popular poll to recognize the republic as a Russian entity.

Also, the head of the administration of the Kherson province, Vladimir Saldo, announced his approval to hold a popular referendum on the accession of the province to Russia, while the head of the administration of the Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Palitsky announced, on Tuesday, that the referendum on the province's accession to Russia will take place from 23 to 27 September.

Chechen troops arrive in Zaporozhye region

Thursday, September 15, 2022   No comments

Around the same time Chechen elite troops landed in the Zaporozhye region to help Russian forces regain control in the south, Russian Federation Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Timur Ivanov, arrived in the ChechenRepublic on a working visit to promote and report on development and construction projects in the Muslim Republic.

The investments in the Chechen Republic is paying off. Chechen fighters were urgently dispatched after a series of setbacks for Russian forces in the east and south of Ukraine. The detachment of fighters is under the command of the OMON "Akhmat-Grozny" of the Office of the Russian Guard in the Chechen Republic, Anzor Bisaev. The unit is tasked with stopping and clearing Ukrainian troops trying to advance southward.

Two former US diplomats: Nearly 90 Percent of the World Isn't Following Us on Ukraine

Thursday, September 15, 2022   No comments

Echoing a more nuanced, academic analysis that predicted the outcome of Russia's Military Operation in Ukraine, two former US diplomats concluded that the majority of the world population is not falling in line with the West on this issue.

Our familiar system of global political and economic alliances is shifting, and nothing has made this change clearer than the varied reactions to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. While the United States and its closest allies in Europe and Asia have imposed tough economic sanctions on Moscow, 87 percent of the world's population has declined to follow us. Economic sanctions have united our adversaries in shared resistance. Less predictably, the outbreak of Cold War II, has also led countries that were once partners or non-aligned to become increasingly multi-aligned.

Russia forces in Ukraine concede territories previously under Russian control; blame tactical error for their losses in the east

Sunday, September 11, 2022   No comments

Russian military leaders admit that they fell for a Ukrainian plan that threatened a major attack in the south when in fact it was planning all along to attack in the northeast.

"The Russian forces concluded that the Ukrainian side tried to lure them into the Kharkov battle to launch the main attack in the direction of Uglidar,” one source said to media outlets.

Russian sources have also claimed that “American generals effectively contributed to the planning of this operation, and provided abundant intelligence information to the Ukrainian army, which is fighting in the ranks of hundreds of mercenaries.”

Now, they are assessing that Ukrainian forces are planning to retake territories in autonomous region. Some of the regional military leaders were dismissed due to this failure.

Russian sources now say that Ukrainian forces "are clearing minefields that they had previously set up on the outskirts of Ugledar in the Donetsk People's Republic, which indicates that they are preparing to launch an attack."

To regain their footing, Russian military leaders are deploying more Chechen military assets, as confirmed by the president of the Chechen Republic last week, in this video release.

However, today, Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, voiced a rare public criticism of Russia's military mistakes in Ukraine pointing out "loss of strategic areas in eastern Ukraine," and pledging to restore all these areas recovered by Ukrainian forces during their counter-offensive that has been going on for days.

The Chechen news agency quoted Kadyrov as saying that "the Russian forces made mistakes, and if there are no changes, I will talk with their leadership to explain to them the situation on the ground," adding, "We will recover all the areas we lost in Kharkiv."

In an 11-minute audio message posted on his Telegram channel, Kadyrov rejected the loss of Izium, a vital supply hub, and acknowledged that the military campaign was "not going according to plan".

The rapid fall of Izyum in the Kharkiv region is the worst military loss for Russia since its forces were forced to withdraw from the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, last March.

Russia’s war strategy in Ukraine and the role of the Chechen armed forces

Thursday, September 08, 2022   No comments

The war strategy in Ukraine is now emerging: use air and missile strikes to degrade Ukrainian defensive positions and then send the infantry forces to clear and hold territories. That is what happened in the city of Mariupol during the first four months of the operation, and this is what is happening now in the south near Kharkov and in the east. In Mariupol and the Donbas region, the infantry consisted mainly of 10,000 Chechen troops. Those forces returned home in June. Since then, there appeared little progress on the ground but constant bombardment from air and from distance.

With Ukrainian troops leaving their defensive positions in the south to execute a plan to retake Kharkov and push Russian forces east of the river, Russian forces were able to target the exposed Ukrainian troops and plan for the next phase, which appear to aim at taking more ground and increasing the buffer zone it has created around the areas that will be declared autonomous republics. This is where ground troops will be needed. Again, Chechen armed forces seem to be the go-to option. Today, Chechen officials arranged for the transport of thousands of elite fighters who will be deployed in areas “beyond the Donbas” region.

Meanwhile, today, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its forces repelled an attack by Ukrainian forces on the Kharkov axis, inflicting losses on the attacking forces of more than 50 people.

According to the ministry, the nationalist battalion "Kraken" opened fire on the retreating, killing most of them.

The Defense Ministry also announced the downing of eight Ukrainian drones over the Kharkov and Kherson provinces, as well as the interception of two American-made AGM-88 Harm missiles over the Antonov Bridge area.

The Russian Air Defense Forces also intercepted a "Tochka-O" ballistic missile in the Bezymyanoy district of Kherson Province, and 48 missiles, including 44 "Himars" missiles, were intercepted in the "Mozikovka", "Znamenka", "Vesuloye" and "Kamenka" regions, "Darievka", "Novaya Kakhovka", "Perslav", "Dnebriani" and "Tomarino".

Simultaneously, the Ministry announced that the units of the 72nd Ukrainian Mechanized Brigade, in the Artemovsk region of the Donetsk People's Republic, refused to carry out orders and left their positions and left, due to heavy losses, low equipment, and lack of fire support.

Also, the Ukrainian forces lost another 350 personnel on the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rok axes, during the past 24 hours, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

"During the day, the Kyiv regime continued its unsuccessful attempts to conduct offensive operations on the Nikolaev-Kryvi Rok axes," the ministry said in a statement.

From the Croatian capital, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan: Ukrainian grain is exported to rich countries but not poor ones

Thursday, September 08, 2022   No comments

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country wants to start exporting grain from Russia as well, similar to the export of Ukrainian grain.

Speaking at a press conference with his Croatian counterpart, Zoran Milanovic, in the capital Zagreb, which he is visiting as part of a tour of the Balkans, Erdogan added, "Grains are exported to rich countries, but not poor ones. Unfortunately, Ukrainian grain is exported to rich countries but not poor ones."

Erdogan recalled the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his annoyance over the export of Ukrainian grain to countries that impose sanctions on Russia.

He continued, "There is a delay in the start of grain exports from Russia, and I will discuss this issue in detail during my meeting with President Putin next week, and all we hope for is that the grain reaches poor countries."

And he added: "Most of all this is the issue of energy. Energy prices are rising. Now Europe is confused about how to face the next winter, and I hope this crisis ends well."

The Turkish President and his Croatian counterpart chaired the meeting of the two countries' delegations, after the end of their bilateral meeting at the Croatian Presidential Palace in the capital Zagreb.

On Wednesday, Putin stressed that "the West was not fair enough regarding the grain shipment deal from Ukraine, because most of the grain shipments did not go to the poorest developing countries, but to Europe."

Earlier, Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, said that "Ukrainian grain ships are heading to places other than those they were intended to go to."

Last July 22, a Russian-Ukrainian memorandum of understanding was signed in Istanbul, under the auspices of the United Nations Secretariat, on facilitating the movement of Russian food products and fertilizers on world markets.

In another context, the Turkish president announced that the volume of trade exchange between Turkey and Croatia amounted to $900 million last year.

Macron: Dialogue with Russia must continue

French President Emmanuel Macron called today for the continuation of dialogue with Russia, stressing that "we must assume that we can always continue talking with everyone", especially "with whom we do not agree."

"Who wants Turkey to be the only power in the world that continues to talk to Russia?" Macron asked in front of the French ambassadors meeting at the Elysee Palace.

He continued, "We should not give in to any form of wrong morale that may make us helpless," stressing that "the diplomat's profession is to talk to everyone, especially people with whom we do not agree."

He added, "We will continue to do this ... in coordination with our allies," recalling that "the division of Europe" is "one of the objectives of Russia's war."

The French president is one of the few European leaders who spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin after Russia's military operation in Ukraine on February 24, in a strategy that has been criticized.

The last phone call between the French president and his Russian counterpart dates back to August 19, during which they discussed the situation at the Zaporizhia nuclear plant and the organization of a visit by a team from the International Atomic Energy Agency to the facility.

For his part, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan played the role of mediator between Moscow and Kiev at the beginning of the war. An agreement was reached between Moscow and Kiev in July in Istanbul, under the auspices of Ankara and the United Nations, to export Ukrainian grain from the ports bordering the Black Sea.

Iran: A senior European president asked Iran's president, Raisi, to mediate in the Ukrainian crisis

The Iranian President's Assistant for Political Affairs, Mohammad Jamshidi, revealed that "one of the senior presidents of Western Europe asked Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to help mediate a solution to the war crisis in Europe."

And he said in a tweet on Twitter, "After assessing the matter, an initiative was developed that the Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, would bring to Moscow with an important message."

For its part, the Iranian news agency ISNA revealed that "the Western president who asked Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to mediate a solution to the war crisis in Europe is French President Emmanuel Macron."

It is noteworthy that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian is visiting Moscow today to hold consultations with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.

Before leaving Iran, Amir Abdollahian said, "Western parties want Iran to play an active role in resolving the Ukrainian crisis."

Dmitry Medvedev predicts the outcome of the war in Ukraine: Victory or military coup--Tertium non datur

Thursday, August 25, 2022   No comments

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that the scenarios for the development of the situation in Ukraine are no more than "one and a half".

Medvedev noted that this includes the achievement of all the objectives of the special military operation and the recognition of its results by the Kyiv authorities or the occurrence of a military coup in Ukraine and the subsequent recognition of the results of the military operation.

"Analysts of all stripes are competing in preparing forecasts for the Ukrainian conflict," Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel, and the Kyiv authorities and Western pro-Ukrainian countries are preparing "predictions of victory."

“But in reality, it is all lies and demagogy to deceive voters. Everyone understands it all. They are just executing roles. There is only one and a half scenarios. The first is the achievement of all the goals of the special military operation and the unequivocal recognition of its results in Kyiv. The second is the military coup in Ukraine, and only after that the recognition of the results of the special operation.”

The statement:

Analysts of all stripes are practicing forecasting the Ukrainian conflict. Here The Guardian came up with five pieces. Forecasts of victory are being built in Kyiv and in the Ukrainian-affiliated countries of the West.

In fact, all this is pure lies and demagogy for the treatment of the electorate. Everyone understands everything. But they work out the roles.

There are only one and a half scripts.

The first is the achievement of all the goals of the [operation] and the unequivocal recognition of its results in Kyiv.

The second is a military coup in Ukraine, and only then the recognition of the results of the special operation.

That's all the options.

Tertium non datur!

Who is Alexander Dugin, who is described as Putin's brain, and whose daughter Daria was killed by Car Bomb in Moscow?

Monday, August 22, 2022   No comments

Aleksandr Gelyevich Dugin is said to have great influence on Russian politicians including the current president, Vladimir Putin. His daughter killed by a car bomb. The Russian authorities announced the killing by detonating her car with an explosive device planted under the driver’s seat in a suburb of the capital, Moscow. Daria Dugin worked as a press secretary for her father, who is described as "Putin's brain", a nationalist and one of the most prominent theorists of the Kremlin's ideology who predicted the end of the era of Western liberalism.

To learn more about Dugin, we provide a summary of his ideas that he shared with Aljazeera network in an extended set of interviews (See interview1, and interview 2; Arabic) in which he talked about Russia, the West, Christianity, Islam, Chechnya, Sunnism, and other topics.

Russian identity and change

On the other hand, Dugin spoke to Al Jazeera about the Russian identity and the radical change that he said had affected it over the course of one century, as the country was an empire with its faith and perception, and after the Bolshevik Revolution, perceptions changed dramatically, and in 1991 the Russian identity changed again and Russia became part of The Western world, then Putin, changed identity again and Russia became a powerful country that defends its own conservative values, according to what the Russian philosopher says.

On Russian identity, "Putin's mind" says that his country is changing its position and "we are in a spiritual search for ourselves", and it is sensitive to changes.

However, Dugin confirms - in the first part of his meeting in the episode (14/11/2021) of the "The Interview" program - that Western tendency is still largely present within Russia, and there is a liberal elite and strong resistance to President Putin's reforms on the part of liberal intellectuals, and that This Western tendency hinders the special orientation of Russia.

He also believes that other civilizations have the right to rely on their own political teachings that are based on their own values, not on Western values.

He indicated in the context of his review of his identical vision with his president's on the Chechen issue, which he said Putin had found a solution for, as well as with regard to Georgia and Ukraine and the annexation of the Crimea in 2014.

Fourth political theory

The Russian thinker Alexander Dugin focused in the second part of his interview with the "The Interview" program on the fourth political theory, which he said is an anti-capitalist tendency, and talked about his vision of terrorism and its relations with Iran and Turkey.

Dugin described the fourth political theory as the theory of revolution and decolonization for Russian society, and it defends the originality of Russian civilization and human rights, but not according to Western values, which he said are not totalitarian and are unacceptable neither in Russia, nor in the Islamic world, nor in China.

Definition of terrorism

In the interview, Ali Al-Dhafiri's guest linked the issue of defining terrorism to the interests of states, and gave an example of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who said that he supported Washington's position after the September 11, 2001 attacks, and in return was waiting for the US administration to classify those he called the Chechen separatists in the category of Terrorists, which did not happen, and the Russian thinker says that Putin understood at that time the meaning of geopolitical considerations.

In another context, Dugin - one of the most prominent political theorists in Russia - saw that Iran is an ally of Russia and is one of the opponents of globalization and American leadership, and that radical Sunni Islam in the Arab world had supported the American strategy in the MiddleEast, but the new generation of leaders - continues the speaker - In SaudiArabia, Qatar and Egypt, he is looking for a new approach to Arab Sunni Islam, and he believes that staying in the orbit of American policy is bad for the Islamic world.

He also talked about his ideas, and said that he is a supporter of Islamic traditional values in Iran, but nevertheless he has strong relations with Turkey, noting in his touch on Russia's future that Russia is Putin and he determines everything in politics, to conclude his speech by saying that in his country "the law does not something and rule everything."

It is noteworthy that after Putin took power in Russia, a new phase began in Dugin's political activity when he moved from the radical opposition camp to the pro-power camp.

The War in Ukraine creates new tends: Proliferation of weapons and widening of conflict areas

Monday, August 15, 2022   No comments

This is serious development: Russia will widen its operation in Ukraine to cover the range of weapons supplied by NATO to Kyiv; that seems to be the new strategy developed by Russian leaders, including supplying nations that are friendly to Russia with weapons the same way the West supplies it allies.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that "if the West provides Kyiv with long-range weapons, the geographical objectives of the special operation in Ukraine will move beyond its current goals."

Russia has previously sent a memorandum to NATO countries, due to the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov indicated that any shipment "containing weapons to Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia," considering that NATO's arming of Ukraine was "playing with fire."

This comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed today, Monday, that Moscow values its relations with the countries of Latin America, Asia and Africa, and is ready to supply its allies with modern weapons. He made the remarks while opening the Army-2022 International Military-Technical Forum and the International Army Games-2022, which started on Monday in the Moscow Region.

This year, over 6,000 soldiers and officers from 37 countries of the world are taking part in them.
