Pardon this editorial rant; but it has to be said; for the lives lost, and the lives to be lost, the lives that did not have to be lost if it were not for our greed and gluttony.
-- The Editors
And the poor people pay for greed of the rich who exploited nature to its limits, making it impossible for it to heal and replenish.
The climate crime has been committed by the super-rich, every aspect of their lifestyles has been a drain on the natural resources in ways never experienced before.
Super mansions on every continent, super fast private jets, super expensive hobbies that cost billions of dollars with no actual return, and production of goods beyond need, only to show growth for their investors... All this wealth to benefit just one percent of the world's population while the rest are left to live in poverty, in a degraded environment, in compromised, corrupt systems.
Now they want to spend the wealth they produced off the back of everyone to build a colony on Mars or some other planet and leave Earth to the rest of us—after they have everything to exploit beyond all natural limits.
Environmental degradation is a crime.
